Delhi Public School Pune hosted Takshila Matheletics – The Inter-School Mathematics Championship 2025-26 on 16th October from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Math Carnival aimed to make mathematics engaging and experiential blending creativity, logic, and collaboration. The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Ms. Amita Singh, along with esteemed judges Dr. Vimal Sholapurkar, Dr. Gitanjali Phatak, and Ms. Twarita Kulkarni Shimpi.
The celebration began with a lamp-lighting ceremony, choir performance, and classical dance that showcased the harmony between maths and art.

The highlight of the carnival was “The Mathematical Tree: A Living System of Knowledge”, created by Class XI students utilising recycled newspaper materials in line with the school’s Zero Waste theme. Other exhibits included innovative models by Classes IX–X—Game Theory Cooperation, Hydra Flow, and a Tidal Clock—while students of Classes IV–V portrayed mathematicians across eras on a historical timeline. Displays such as the Origami Forest, Calendar Games, Nakshatra, and Yoga poses showcased creativity with mathematical precision.
Over 15 schools from across Pune participated in two categories for Classes VI–VIII and IX–XII. The featured events included Math-e-Bola, Math-en-Act, Math-e-Kolam, Math Model-a-thon, Math Brawl, and Optical Illusion. Each event tested not only the artistic skills but also the direct and engaging application of core mathematical principles like geometry, symmetry, and proportion.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where the Principal, Ms. Amita Singh felicitated winners and lauded their innovation and enthusiasm. The day ended on an inspiring note celebrating mathematics as the universal language of logic, creativity, and collaborative learning.
