Delhi Public School, Pune, conducted its Model United Nations (MUN) from 16–19 June 2026 for students of Classes IX–XII, providing them with an opportunity to research, deliberate and debate pressing global issues while developing their research, communication, public speaking and problem-solving skills. Students represented assigned countries in four committees. The UNESCO Committee discussed preventing the destruction and illicit trafficking of cultural heritage during armed conflict; the UNICEF Committee deliberated on protecting children during humanitarian crises; the WHO Committee debated balancing international coordination with national sovereignty during global health crises; and the DISEC Committee for Classes XI–XII focused on maritime security and the protection of global energy supply chains with special emphasis on petroleum.

The conference was successfully planned and executed by students serving as the Secretary General, Executive Board, Organising Committee and International Press. A key highlight was the participation of school alumni as members of the International Press, who challenged delegates to defend their assigned foreign policies with well-researched arguments. Through engaging debates, caucuses, press conferences and resolution drafting, the delegates demonstrated diplomacy, critical thinking and leadership, making the conference a highly enriching and memorable learning experience.
