On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Delhi Public School, Pune, celebrated with joy and gratitude under the theme “Beyond the mountains, across the seas.” The Student Council Members and monitors, guided by the Head Boy and Head Girl, organized the programme as a heartfelt tribute to the teachers.  The day began with a warm welcome in the multipurpose hall, beautifully decorated to reflect the theme. A video montage prepared by the School Media Team captured the affection and respect of the students. Engaging activities brought light-hearted fun and added to the celebratory spirit. Teachers were then escorted to a special assembly where they were greeted with a traditional tilak and eco-friendly flower bouquets made of newspaper.

The assembly commenced with a prayer, followed by a graceful classical dance. A skit portraying classroom moments evoked laughter and reflection highlighting the bond between teachers and students. The programme also included a vibrant musical performance, a touching self-composed poem, and lively folk dances, Garbha and Bhangra, which filled the venue with energy and cheer. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt address by the Principal, Mrs. Amita Singh, who expressed gratitude on behalf of all teachers and reflected on the lasting importance of the teacher–student relationship.

The day ended on the playground where teachers and students enjoyed friendly games of throw ball and volleyball. The celebration was a heartfelt homage to the mentors. It reinforced the bond between teachers and students making the day truly memorable.
