With 2010 being declared as the international year of biodiversity ‘DPS Pune has done its bit by organizing Project Saptak, a step towards conservation of our biodiversity . Saptak is a project which has led participants on a fact finding mission on biodiversity . It teaches you how to communicate in the society and find long term solutions for preserving local biodiversity. The Exhibition started at eight where all the projects were displayed .The Judges personally interacted with the students and asked many related questions . They were highly impressed to see the creativity of the students . The honorable judges for the occasion were , Dr. Uday Bhalwalkar. Chemical Engineer from IIT Bombay Ms Tasneem Balasinorwala , convenor of Pune Tree Watch Dr. Jyoti Prabha , Phd Environmental Science from Indian school of Minning Dhanbad Senior Faculty at Bahartiya Vidya Peeth Universitity , Special Guest for the day was Ms. Vandana Chavhan , ex Mayor of Pune. Twelve groups – Six in each category A & B presented their PPT’s . Group A -Deepam Mohindra and his group bagged first prize , Adtya Sinha and his group came second , Tanmay Thareja and his group got third prize . In Group B- Mayank Kale ‘s group first prize, Chasak Tulsayani ‘s group came second, and Maitree Gosavi’s group secured third prize
